Indian Elephant

Morning, it's seams a while since I've posted a card on my blog, but I've still being busy crafting. I've made another one of those mini books last weekend as well as going to another card making classes. I just love making those mini books. Today I've got my DT card for CRAFT challenge to show you all. The new challenge over at CRAFT is based on an inspiration photo. How great is this, I love all the bright colors.

The sponsor for this challenge is  Truly Madly Crafty and Floppy Latte Designs. For my DT card though I went with an image from our sponsor of the September star of the month which is JLJ designs, the image is called Indian elephant

Before I forget we have a DT and GDT call on at CRAFT challenge. How exciting is that, so pop over to CRAFT and take a look.

I went with all the bright colors, i just love the image. It'll be for my BIL birthday who loves elephants.

I used some indian style sequins that I bought over a year ago and was still waiting for a right project to use them. I've coloured in the digi image with Promarkers, the round border punch is MS, the ribbon is fantastic ribbons and the rest are from my stash.
Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the other wonderful projects from the CRAFT DT here

Not only that but today is international speak like a pirate day..... so this cards seams very fitting for todays new challenge over at Lexis Creations. It's not Owens birthday card, I showed that a few months ago (I was organised for once), but this is for his little friend who will be 4 in 5 days time and is pirate crazy.

I've used Lexis digi image, pirate scruffles which you can buy at Lexis shop, fairy dust crafts. I've coloured him in with Promarkers. My tan pen ran out half way though arhhhh.... so I had to colour him in a slightly darker shade of brown than I wanted to.

Mini Book and Cards

I went to my first scrapbooking crop yesterday held by Carole. I had a wonderful time and made a couple of pages of my eldests sons first birthday (he's now 5!!) and saw a demo of a cute little mini book. I had to leave early as hubby had football :-( but I remembered how to make the book so I carried on crafting in the evening, so here it is. I also made a couple of little cards using a pinwheel which is another idea I got from Carole.
I used papers from SU (blueberry crisp), the sentiment stamps on the cards are also from SU. The border punch is Martha stewert and the ribbon is from crafty ribbons.

Thanks for stopping by. x
